Two gay American Asians in their 60’s coincidentally meet each other in a Honolulu cemetery visiting the gravesite of the mother of one and the husband of the other. They strike up a conversation that initially begins sharing experiences as primary caregivers. Will it lead to a possible relationship? But one is the caregiver for his father and the other is still grieving the loss of his husband.

Lee Cataluna (Playwright) Plays include Heart Strings (Atlantic Theater; Filament Theatre; Northwestern University), Flowers of Hawaii (Native Voices; Chautauqua Institute; University of Hawaii), and Home of the Brave (La Jolla Playhouse; Honolulu Theatre for Youth.) Current commissions include Emalani for Arena Stage, Super Aunty for the TYA/USA national BIPOC Superhero project, and Sons of Maui, which was a Eugene O’Neill 2023 finalist. She was a member of the inaugural Oregon Shakespeare Festival Indigenous Playwrights Cohort , the Ojai Playwrights Conference and SparkFest New Play Festival.
Les J.N. Mau (Collaborator) is a 4th generation American, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Based in New York City for over 40 years, he has appeared Off and Off-Off Broadway and regionally at Yale Rep, A.R.T. in Boston, Baltimore’s Center Stage, Syracuse Stage, and the Children’s Theatre Company among others. He performed at the Young Vic in London, UK in Wild Swans, a play based on the autobiography of Jung Chang. Credits also include indie films, TV movies and dramas. As a collaborator on Thursdays Come at Morning, he workshopped and performed the role of “Howard” at the Ojai Playwrights Conference.
Jeff Liu (Director) is a writer and director for theater, film and web, also an Artistic Producer for Ojai Playwrights Conference. Productions include the LA premiere of CHINGLISH by David Henry Hwang (LA Times Critics Choice), as well as the world premieres of PARANORMAL INSIDE and THE BROTHERS PARANORMAL by Prince Gomolvilas, MY MAN KONO and UNBROKEN BLOSSOMS by Philip W. Chung, WARRIOR SISTERS OF WU by Damon Chua (2 Drama Desk nominations), and MEMORIAL by Livian Yeh (NYT Critics Pick). He also adapted DHH’s Pulitzer nominated play YELLOW FACE for YouTube, where it is still available to watch for free.
