Part 1
1947. Beijing, China. An American operative by the name of Randolph arrives at the Chinese capital on an important mission. Almost immediately he runs into Chinadoll, an Asian femme fatale who is as beautiful as she is dangerous. Randolph crosses paths with Simone, an artful chanteuse, and her paramour, the Belgian Ambassador, as he gets drawn deeper and deeper into political intrigue. Set against a city rife with noir-ish espionage and shadowy dealings, Randolph has to figure out a way to do his job while staying alive.
Part 2
Winter comes to Beijing as we catch up with Randolph, the American operative in China, and his would-be adversary and lover, Chinadoll, the Asian femme fatale. As we learn more about a reel of home-made film, made prior to WWII, and its significance to all involved, the doubling-dealings seem to multiply as the characters converge in a fateful and final showdown.
