NAPUA DAVOY- (composer/playwright/vocalist) has performed on concert stages and in major jazz venues in New York City and around the world, where she has toured extensively throughout Russia with her longtime collaborator, Russia’s famed pianist/composer Andrei Kondakov. Known for her passionate musicality that blends jazz and classical idioms, Davoy embues her dramatic writing with vibrant rhythm and her compositions with a unique freshness that firmly establishes her as a 21st Century artist.
A classically trained singer and accomplished pianist with advanced literary degrees, Davoy found her career transformed by her work on a series of avant-garde operas. Her writing soon expanded to include lyrics and dialogue, resulting in the creation of STELLA RISING and her new theatrical production FLY ME TO MIAMI currently in development. Davoy is also writing music for a new work about Maria Callas while finishing “Revolucion!,” the screenplay sequel to FLY ME TO MIAMI. |
