A DREAM OF RED PAVILIONS (world premiere) is one of the most beloved classics in Chinese literature and tells the tender love story of the Stone and the Flower - two spirit beings who came to earth - as Baoyu (Precious Jade) and Daiyu (Dark Jade). Set against the backdrop of the rise and fall of the aristocratic Jia family, this play portrays the one percent of Qing Dynasty China, a world of wealth, power and intrigue, that contained the seeds for its own destruction and a glimmer of hope for change.
