The ancient art form of Chinese Peking Opera comes alive in THE LEGEND OF THE WHITE SNAKE, a presentation by Pan Asian Repertory Theatre to celebrate Chinese New Year—The Year of the Snake. This timeless classic of love, courage, and sacrifice follows the adventures of two snake, Bai (White) and Qing (Blue), who come down from Mt. Omei in the Szechuan province transformed as beautiful women. Bai falls in love with a mortal, the scholar Xu Xian, but is thwarted by the villainous monk, Fa Hai, and many battles ensue. Can Bai and Xu’s love survive? Find out in this special one-hour dance
